Karmafish is the alias of a singer-songwriter and producer from England. The music is mainly Alternative Rock, but the artist does indulge in Electronic and Classical influences as well.

Albums :

A touch of psychedlia, propped up with ethnic drumming and progressive rock. Taking something from each of the previous Karmafish tracks, 'Nocturnal' links 8 different sounding tracks within the wider theme of 'the night'.

Starting with the synth-pop of the opening track, 'Best Intentions' and ending with the closing rhythms of 'Stonehenge', each track tells part of the story - coupled with soundscapes incorporating Morricone-style harmonica, metal-esque guitars and Nine Inch Nails type soundscapes. Each main song is followed by a short instrumental to keep a fluid progression thoroughout this mini-LP.

'Life Support' is a 10 track alternative rock album,  Opening with the punky 'Eternal Sunshine'.  This track is followed by 'Where Do You Go?', which is slightly reminiscent of bands like The Strokes, before the brooding and explosive epic 'The Rules'.  Finally, the closing song, 'Down And Out', provides a haunting, driving tune to bring the album to the end.

The EP is designed to show a distinct difference in technique and sound when compared to previous releases - most notable is the complete lack of instruments other than voice and computer.

Opening with the warm instrumental soundscapes of 'Over Seas', it quickly progresses to the Electro-Funk of 'Seven Deadly Sins'.  Continuing with the rapid changing of genres, we then move onto the Ambient-Trance influenced 'Burning Off The Mist'.  The intentially schizophrenic nature of the record is encompassed in track-form in 'Shards Of Glass', featuring both theremin and glitch-influenced drum-machine.  After this, it moves into more familiar territory with the haunting programmed piano and synths of 'Paleontology', before the record concludes with 'Over Seas - Reprise', a glitchier, more electronic version of the opening track. The genres are merged with the artist's previous influences, including alternative-rock, metal, progressive rock and psychedelia - thus proving subtle reflections in the programming and electronica.

"No Guitars Were Harmed In The Production Of This Record."

These tracks showcase a heavier sound than is commonly found on the Karmafish album 'All These Voices'.  These songs vary from the industrial-disco-grunge of 'Burning Gasoline' to the piano-led 'Heaven Below'.  Guest performer Chris 'Vegas' Skinner contributes guitar and/or vocals on 3 tracks.
